Welcome to Nimali Africa

Nimali derives its name from the Swahili word for wealth, often used to describe a plentiful supply of a desirable thing. We believe nature is Africa’s greatest wealth and we have that in abundance, ready to share with our guests in our collection of boutique camps and lodges throughout Tanzania. We will share our passion for preserving and protecting the land, wildlife and the people that surround us through our exceptional and authentic safari experiences.

Nimali Tarangire is a hidden gem. Small and intimate, this tented camp nestles under the shade of acacia trees overlooking a pretty dry riverbed bordered by huge and dramatic granite boulders. Nimali Tarangire sits contentedly in its own private concession, bordering Tarangire National Park. The concession, together with the surrounding Wildlife Management Area, is simply an extension of the Park and offers exclusive game viewing far from the crowds.  There are no fences between our private concession, the surrounding Wildlife Management Area or the National Park and animals wander freely between these areas.

Nimali Central Serengeti is set in the heart of the Serengeti plains in northern Tanzania, near to Makoma Hill. This luxury tented camp offers seclusion in a hidden area but in the heart of the National Park. With breathtaking views over the Serengeti Plains and perfectly situated to see the Great Migration, it is a place where you can expect the unexpected.

Nimali Mara, the third camp to join the Nimali Africa family, will be located in the quieter and more remote Kogatende area of the northern Serengeti National Park. This small, intimate tented camp will offer a sense of quiet elegance and timelessness with its blend of natural materials and contemporary design. Nimali Mara will be opening in 2019.
